A large freestanding Brown Topaz (Not Gem) from Mount Gibson, North Queensland.

Mineral specimen measures 62 x 58  x 36 mm and weighs 164 grams or 820 carats approximately.

 Andradite Garnet and Diopside.  A very rare, large mineral specimen from the Mary Kathleen Uranium Mine, 55 Km East of Mount Isa in North West Queensland.

The depth of the cavity is not really depicted in these pictures. It is a very nice sample of Andradite Garnet coating some of the Diopsides.

Under Short Wave ultraviolet light there are patches of iridescent green in the matrix of this cabinet specimen. There is no damage on etched areas.

The longest visible Andradite crystal is 2.8cm long. The sample measures 21.5cm x 14cm x 12cm high and weighs 3.812 Kilograms.

 Hidenbergite, Scapolite, green Apatite, Chalcopyrite, Pyrite, Epidote and others. Mineral specimen from the Mount Elliot Mine 93 Km South of Cloncurry in North West Queensland.

This piece actually stands very nicely on its left surface in the first picture. A superb, shiny specimen. Picture does not do it justice.

The Apatite is Blue under Short and Long Wave Ultraviolet light.   The sample measures 70mm high x 60mm wide and weighs 304 grams.

 Azurite suns in Kaolin mineral specimen from the Malbunka Mine, West of Alice Springs, in the Northern Territory.

Largest crystal measures 51 mm across.

Piece has been sealed with PVA and water for strength as these specimens will break down in dry conditions if left untreated.

Sample measures 18.5cm x 15cm x 5.2cm thick and weighs 1.5Kilograms.

 Druse on Chrysocolla  and Pseudomalachite on Quartz. Mineral specimen from Mount Glorious mine just West of Cloncurry  in North West Queensland.

You can see a 12mm Quartz crystal coated with Chrysocolla in the close up.

 Apatite, Blue, with Meionite Scapolite and Blue/Green Pumpellyite, on a Garnet/Scapolite matrix, Mineral specimen from the Mary Kathleen mine 55 Kilometres East of Mount Isa in North West Queensland.

 This sample is very Mauve and Blue under Short wave and Violet. The Blue is the Blue Apatite.

Piece measures 67 x 33 x 25mm and weighs  46 Grams.

 Sphene, also known as Titanite, crystals with some very nice red tapered Rutile, Quartz and numerous Bornite crystals in the matrix. Mineral specimen from a rare Nelsonite deposit,

about 8 Kilometres West, North/West of Mount Isa in North West Queensland. The light, crusty surface on the Quartz is a Fluorescent unknown mineral.

Sample measures 42 x 33 x 28 high and weighs 26 grams. Largest Sphene is over 25mm wide.

 Native Copper, a very nice Dendritic mineral specimen from Mt Elliott Copper mine, 93 Kilometres South of Cloncurry, in North West Queensland.

Measures 25 x 25 mm and weighs 6 Grams.

Azurite suns in Kaolin mineral specimen from the Malbunka Copper mine at Areyonga in Central Australia.  Material has been treated with diluted PVA as they will desintergrate in warm environments if left untreated

largest sun measures 14 mm across..

Piece measures 60 x 55 x 32mm, weighs 116 grams, is in top condition, and is free standing.

Allanite, rare crystals with some Zeolites, mineral specimen  from the Mary Kathleen Uranium mine, 55 Kilometres East of Mount Isa in North West Queensland.

Sample reads around 360 to 400 Cpm on the Geiger counter.  There is individual crystals in this sample measuring up to 38 mm.

It measures 100 x 75 x 60 mm and weighs 416 grams.
